Amalfi Coast & the South
Southern Italy unfolds at a gentle pace when you only unpack once. A single Sorrento base — no early starts, no repacking — gathers Pompeii, Capri, Positano and Naples around it across six easy days, with sea views, lemon groves and Neapolitan flavours at every turn.
Day by Day
Day 1
Arrival in Naples & Sorrento
Your group arrives at Naples Airport, where your BRACAP Tour Manager is waiting. An unhurried drive along the Bay of Naples brings you to Sorrento, your single base for all five nights — unpack once and settle in. The afternoon is free to rest or stroll the lemon-scented lanes of the old town before a relaxed welcome dinner near Piazza Tasso.
Day 2
The Ruins of Pompeii
After a leisurely breakfast, a short drive brings your group to Pompeii, frozen in time when Mount Vesuvius erupted in AD 79. A licensed local guide leads a gently paced tour of the forum, frescoed villas and stone-paved streets, with plenty of pauses in the shade. Lunch nearby, then back to Sorrento by mid-afternoon for rest or a seafront passeggiata.
Day 3
Positano & the Amalfi Coast
The famous coastal road unwinds slowly today, tracing cliffs above a turquoise sea on a UNESCO-listed stretch of shoreline. A morning stop in Positano lets your group wander its pastel lanes at leisure, followed by lunch and free time in Amalfi beneath the striped cathedral of Sant'Andrea. Frequent photo stops keep the pace easy before the coach returns to Sorrento.
Day 4
Isle of Capri by Ferry
A mid-morning ferry glides your group across the bay from Sorrento to Capri — return tickets included, no queues to manage. The funicular lifts you from Marina Grande to Capri town, where the Piazzetta and the Gardens of Augustus reward gentle strolling with views over the Faraglioni rocks. After a long, easy lunch, the ferry brings you back for a quiet Sorrento evening.
Day 5
Naples & a Pizza-Making Class
An easy-paced morning walk through Naples' historic centre follows Spaccanapoli past Piazza del Gesù and the Duomo, with time to pause for coffee and sfogliatella. Then comes the week's most delicious lesson: a Neapolitan pizza-making class, where your group stretches dough and eats its own creations for lunch. The afternoon stays unhurried, with free time in the old town before the coach rolls back to Sorrento.
Day 6
Farewell Sorrento & Departure
After a final leisurely breakfast overlooking the bay, there is time for a last stroll through Sorrento's old town or a quiet coffee on Piazza Tasso. Your BRACAP Tour Manager then coordinates all transfers to Naples Airport, assisting with luggage and check-in, and your group departs with the easy rhythm of six gentle days on the Amalfi Coast still in step.
