    Where Travel Becomes Story

    Spain, Provence & Paris
    Multi-CountryEducational ToursFranceSpain

    Spain, Provence & Paris

    Duration13 Days
    CountryFrance

"Spain, Provence & Paris" crosses two countries by high-speed rail, opening with four nights in Barcelona — Gaudí, the Gothic Quarter, a Costa Brava beach day — before a Renfe-SNCF connection through Nîmes and a day at the Pont du Gard and the Palais des Papes. Your group's week in Paris runs from a night visit to the Eiffel Tower to a hands-on croissant workshop and a guided morning at Versailles.

    Day by Day

    1

    Day 1

    Barcelona (Arrival)

Arrival is followed by an orientation walk down Las Ramblas and through the Gothic Quarter, and the day closes with a welcome dinner built around icebreaker games — the first of many group activities that turn forty strangers into travelling teams before the first night's sleep.

    2

    Day 2

    Barcelona — Modernism and Gaudí

A school-group entry covers the Sagrada Família, followed by Park Güell, before an afternoon gymkhana through Gràcia challenges teams to track down the neighbourhood's modernist architecture against the clock, photographing the best angle on each building for a running score across the week.

    3

    Day 3

Barcelona — Ancient History, Beach and Culture

The morning covers Roman and medieval Barcelona in the Gothic Quarter, and the afternoon turns to the beach at Barceloneta for team volleyball and a swim in the Mediterranean. The evening brings a flamenco class that closes with a short showcase between patrols.

    4

    Day 4

    Costa Brava (Full-Day Excursion)

A full-day excursion reaches Girona for a walk through its medieval quarter, still recognisable from its use as a film location, before the group turns to the Costa Brava for a morning of team kayaking, paddle surfing and snorkelling in its coves, with speed challenges run between patrols.

    5

    Day 5

    Barcelona to Nîmes/Avignon (Travel Day)

A Renfe-SNCF high-speed train crosses the border to Nîmes, where an orientation walk through the historic centre passes the exterior of the Roman arena. A welcome Provençal dinner follows, and on the train itself teams competed in a French-phrase contest to see who could pick up the most before arrival.

    6

    Day 6

Provence — The Pont du Gard and Avignon

The Pont du Gard, a Roman aqueduct approached here through its engineering rather than as a monument alone, opens the day, followed by the Palais des Papes and the Pont d'Avignon. The afternoon is free along the Gardon river, with an optional swim, and later in small groups through the streets of Avignon.

    7

    Day 7

    Nîmes/Avignon to Paris (Travel Day)

A high-speed train reaches Paris, and after an orientation walk, the group's first stop after dark is the Eiffel Tower, lit for the night — a photo challenge built around the first sight of the illuminated tower closes the day's long journey on a high.

    8

    Day 8

Paris — The Louvre and the Seine

A free school-group entry covers the Louvre's highlights — the Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo — before a group bike ride along the banks of the Seine, stopping for photos on its bridges. The day ends with a sunset river cruise, deck time left free to socialise.

    9

    Day 9

Paris — The Eiffel Tower by Day and a Talent Show

A second-floor ascent of the Eiffel Tower is followed by an urban-planning workshop at Trocadéro and the Champ de Mars, teams asked to redesign a Parisian block. The evening's talent show, staged with the tower lit up behind them, turns each team's act into the trip's most memorable night.

    10

    Day 10

    Paris — Montmartre and Gastronomy

Montmartre and the Sacré-Cœur open the morning, followed by a hands-on croissant-making workshop — flour on every hand, and friendly competition over whose comes out best. The afternoon is free in small groups around the boutiques and cafés of Le Marais, the day's only unstructured stretch of time.

    11

    Day 11

    Paris — Versailles

A guided visit to the Palace of Versailles, its history of absolute monarchy explained room by room, is followed by a team orientation race through the gardens, checkpoints set between fountains and hedges — a competition that turns one of Europe's grandest estates into an afternoon-long scavenger hunt.

    12

    Day 12

Paris — The Latin Quarter and Farewell

A team market challenge through the Latin Quarter is followed by free time for last-minute shopping, before the trip closes with a farewell dinner built around each team's own final presentation — music, applause and the sense of an ending shared by the whole group.

    13

    Day 13

    Departure

Breakfast and packing are followed by the transfer to the airport, closing thirteen days that opened on Las Ramblas, crossed the border by high-speed rail for the Pont du Gard and the Palais des Papes, and ended among the monuments, workshops and markets of Paris.

    Highlights

    Sagrada Família and Park Güell
    Costa Brava kayak and snorkel

        Background

In accordance with Spanish regulations governing the use of cookies in relation to the provision of electronic communications services, contained in Royal Decree Law 13/2012 of March 30, we inform you about the cookies used on the website of BRACAP (also the provider) and the reason for their use. It also informs you that by browsing the Website, you are giving your consent to use them.

        What Are Cookies?

A cookie is a file downloaded to your computer when you access certain web pages. Cookies allow a website, among other things, to store and retrieve information about a user or their computer's browsing habits and, depending on the information they contain and how you use your computer, can be used to recognize the user. Cookies are only associated with an anonymous user and their computer or device and do not provide references that allow others to know the user's personal data.

Cookies Affected by the Regulation and Exempted Cookies

According to the EU directive, cookies that require the user's informed consent are analytics cookies and advertising and affiliation cookies, with the exception of those of a technical nature and those necessary for the operation of the website or the provision of services expressly requested by the user.

        Types of Cookies

        a) Depending on the entity that manages them, there are first-party cookies (those that are sent to the user's terminal equipment from a computer or domain managed by the editor itself and from which the service requested by the user is provided) and third-party cookies (those that are sent to the user's terminal equipment from a computer or domain that is not managed by the editor, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies).

        b) Depending on the time they remain active, there are session cookies (designed to collect and store data while the user accesses a webpage) and persistent cookies (in which the data is stored in the terminal and can be accessed and processed during a period defined by the cookie manager — which can range from a few minutes to several years).

        c) According to the purpose for which they process the information they collect, they may be:

        • Technical cookies — necessary for the use of the website and the provision of the contracted service.
        • Personalization cookies — which allow the user to access the service with predefined characteristics, such as language, browser type, regional configuration, etc.
        • Analytics cookies — collect information on the use of the website.
        • Advertising cookies — collect information about users' preferences and personal choices.
        • Affiliate cookies — allow tracking of visits from other websites with which the website establishes an affiliation contract.

Types of Cookies Used by This Website

The cookies used on our website are session and third-party cookies; they allow us to store and access information related to language, type of browser used, and other general characteristics predefined by the user, as well as to track and analyze the activity carried out by the user to improve and provide our services in a more efficient and personalized way. The cookies used are, in any case, of a temporary nature, with the sole purpose of making navigation more efficient. In no case do these cookies themselves provide personal data and are not used to collect them.

The use of cookies offers advantages, such as:

        • Facilitates the user's navigation and access to the different services offered by this website.
        • Avoids the user having to set the predefined general features each time they access the website.
        • Favors the improvement of the operation and services provided via this website subsequent to the corresponding analysis of the information obtained through the cookies installed.

By accessing our website, we inform you that if you continue browsing, various third-party cookies will be installed, thus consenting to the installation of certain cookies that have the sole purpose of recording access to our website for the implementation of anonymous statistics on visits, collecting information always anonymously.
