    Kingdoms of Britain & Ireland

    Duration13 Days
    CountryUnited-kingdom, Ireland

Britain and Ireland in their full sweep: London's royal core, York, Edinburgh and the Highlands, then Belfast, Dublin, Wales and Liverpool across thirteen days. Ferry crossings replace backtracking, so each morning opens on a new landscape, while Spanish-speaking guides and a dedicated Tour Leader hold the logistics together from the first transfer to the last.

    Day by Day

    1

    Day 1

    Arrival & First London Impressions

Your group lands in London, where our local team is waiting in the arrivals hall for the private transfer into the city. The rest of the day stays open: some travellers rest after the crossing, others take a first walk through the streets around the hotel to catch the rhythm of the British capital. Overnight in London.

    2

    Day 2

    Royal London: Westminster & Buckingham

After breakfast the morning unfolds as a panoramic tour of the capital: Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, then Buckingham Palace, where the Changing of the Guard falls into place when the calendar allows. Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly follow. The afternoon is free for the Thames embankments or the British Museum. Overnight in London.

    3

    Day 3

    Cambridge Colleges & Medieval York

Breakfast, then north to Cambridge, where the Gothic colleges sit along the river Cam and the university sets the pace of the town. The route continues to York, one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe. Late afternoon brings a walk down The Shambles, a lane that seems stopped in time, and the great front of York Minster. Overnight in York.

    4

    Day 4

    Durham Cathedral & Gothic Edinburgh

The morning heads north with a stop in Durham, a World Heritage city whose Norman cathedral commands the hilltop. The group then crosses the Scottish border through rolling green country, reaching stately Edinburgh, the Gothic jewel of the north, by late afternoon. The evening is free for a first look at the Old Town skyline. Overnight in Edinburgh.

    5

    Day 5

    Royal Mile & Castle Rock

Breakfast opens a panoramic morning along the Royal Mile, the historic spine running from royal palace to fortress. The visit peaks at Edinburgh Castle, keeper of the Scottish Crown Jewels and of the widest views over the city. The afternoon is free for the elegant New Town or the climb up Calton Hill. Overnight in Edinburgh.

    6

    Day 6

    Stirling, Loch Ness & Highlands

The road leads into the Highlands, wild country of stone castles. The morning belongs to the fortress of Stirling, witness to the deeds of William Wallace. The afternoon follows the shores of Loch Ness to Urquhart Castle, whose romantic ruins frame the most iconic postcard in Scotland and the best vantage point for monster-spotting. Overnight in the heart of the Highlands.

    7

    Day 7

    Sea Crossing to Belfast

Breakfast, then west for a panoramic sea crossing to Northern Ireland. Belfast opens as a city of contrasts, from the industrial legacy that built the Titanic to the grandeur of its nineteenth-century architecture. The group walks its streets to read the past through the historic murals, and the evening belongs to the renewed atmosphere of the city centre. Overnight in Belfast.

    8

    Day 8

    Antrim Coast & Giant's Causeway

The morning follows the Antrim coast to the Giant's Causeway, a World Heritage site where forty thousand basalt columns sink into the Atlantic among echoes of old legends. After this geological immersion the route turns south, crossing the invisible border into the Republic of Ireland. Dublin welcomes the group at the end of the afternoon. Overnight in Dublin.

    9

    Day 9

    Trinity College & Phoenix Park

A full panoramic morning through the Irish capital: Trinity College, keeper of centuries of learning, the vast green of Phoenix Park, the largest urban park in Europe, and St Patrick's Cathedral, bastion of the Irish spirit. The afternoon is free to wander Temple Bar or follow the banks of the Liffey. Overnight in Dublin.

    10

    Day 10

    Irish Sea Crossing & Liverpool

Breakfast and out to the port for the ferry across the Irish Sea to Holyhead. From this Welsh gateway the route runs through the green landscapes of north Wales to Liverpool, port city and cradle of the Beatles. The evening settles at the Albert Dock, where industrial history and modern culture meet on the banks of the Mersey. Overnight in Liverpool.

    11

    Day 11

Stratford, Oxford & Back to London

The day starts in Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare, with its timber-framed streets and the Tudor architecture of the bard's house. The route continues to Oxford, city of dreaming spires and seat of the oldest university in the English-speaking world, where the historic colleges inspired the settings of the Harry Potter films. Return to London for the night.

    12

    Day 12

    London at Your Own Pace

A whole day to live London at the group's own rhythm. The Tate Modern offers contemporary art, Covent Garden its historic charm, and the Millennium Bridge one of the finest walks across the Thames. Some head for Harrods, others simply let the pulse of Piccadilly Circus carry them along. Overnight in London.

    13

    Day 13

    Farewell to the Capital

Breakfast and a last morning in London for a final walk or some late shopping. A private transfer collects the group at the hotel and heads for Heathrow in good time for check-in, closing this great loop through the legendary kingdoms of Britain and Ireland.
