Lisbon Under the Lens
Lisbon's historic quarters, the Belém waterfront and the regenerated docks along the Tagus form the field for this study of a capital under tourist pressure. Over three days your group moves from 'Disneyfied' streets to UNESCO monuments and industrial reuse at LX Factory, with every stop framed as a case study in destination management rather than a sightseeing pause.
Day by Day
Day 1
Arrival & the Urban Battlefield
Your group lands at Lisbon Airport, where our team is waiting to start the programme, and heads to the accommodation for check-in. The afternoon becomes an urban biopsy of a capital under extreme pressure, walking contrasting neighbourhoods to see the "Disneyfication" of historic cores at first hand. A group dinner closes the day, deconstructing what the streets showed over local flavours. Overnight in Lisbon.
Day 2
Belém Waterfront & Tagus Regeneration
Breakfast opens a session on the Belém waterfront, where cargo ships, cruises, sailboats and tourist craft form a port-city interface. The morning covers the Belém Tower, a critical reading of the Monument to the Discoveries as contested heritage, and an external technical visit to the Jerónimos Monastery. The afternoon passes under the 25 de Abril Bridge to LX Factory and the regenerated warehouses of Docas de Santo Amaro. Group dinner and overnight in Lisbon.
Day 3
Open Morning & Tagus Farewell
The morning stays open for thematic activities chosen by the group: independent exploration, additional site visits or an academic debrief of the two previous days. The Tour Manager remains on hand for logistical coordination and support throughout. In the afternoon a private coach collects the group at the accommodation for the transfer to Lisbon Airport, closing the programme.
