    Rome, the Eternal City

    Duration5 Days
    CountryItaly

Rome turns two thousand years of history into a living classroom, from the arches of the Colosseum to the frescoed ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Five days move through the city's ancient, sacred and baroque layers — licensed local guides, pre-booked entrances and an evening of Roman food culture in Trastevere that lectures simply cannot match.

    Day by Day

    1

    Day 1

    Arrival in the Eternal City

Your group arrives at Rome's airport, where your private coach and driver are waiting for the transfer to your centrally located 4★ hotel. The afternoon is free to settle in — a first gelato near the Pantheon, a walk along the Tiber or simply watching Roman life from a café terrace. As evening falls, Rome's floodlit piazzas and fountains make an unforgettable first night in the capital.

    2

    Day 2

    The Colosseum & Ancient Rome

A full day in the ancient capital of the world. The morning's guided tour brings the Colosseum to life — an amphitheatre that once held some 50,000 spectators — before continuing through the Roman Forum, where Roman public life unfolded for a thousand years. After lunch near Campo de' Fiori, a guided visit to the Pantheon reveals the largest unreinforced concrete dome ever built, still intact after nineteen centuries.

    3

    Day 3

The Vatican & St. Peter's Basilica

The morning is devoted to the Vatican Museums, where your licensed guide traces a route through the Raphael Rooms to the Sistine Chapel and Michelangelo's ceiling, painted over four years of solitary work. After lunch near Borgo Pio, your group enters St. Peter's Basilica to stand beneath the world's tallest dome and before Michelangelo's Pietà, closing the day in St. Peter's Square as the light softens.

    4

    Day 4

Baroque Rome & Trastevere Food Tour

The morning's walking tour strings together Rome's great baroque set pieces — the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and Bernini's Fountain of the Four Rivers in Piazza Navona. The afternoon is free for shopping along Via del Corso or a museum of your group's choice. In the evening, a guided food tour crosses the river into Trastevere for supplì, fresh pasta and gelato among the neighbourhood's lantern-lit lanes.

    5

    Day 5

    Farewell to Rome

After a final breakfast at the hotel, there is time for a last espresso or a farewell coin tossed into the Trevi Fountain — the Roman promise of a return. Your private coach then transfers the group to the airport, with BRACAP's team on hand until departure, closing five days in which the Eternal City became your group's open-air classroom.
